Chile
Chile is a long, narrow country stretching along South Americaโs western edge for more than 3,500 miles of Pacific Ocean coastline. Itโs capital, Santiago, rests in a valley surrounded by the Andes and Chilean Coast Range mountains and offers a jumping off point for Chileโs northern region of Atacama Desert, as well as its southern half of Torres del Paine National Park and Chiloรฉ Island.
Chile truly has it all; incredibly diverse landscapes, world-renowned food and wine and captivating culture full of art and history. The country is also a destination for delicious wine, beer and pisco, along with local and seasonal fare, particularly seafood. And though we didnโt have time, both Easter Island, known as Rapa Nui for its iconic stone statues, and Valparaรญso, a colorful port city and UNESCO World Heritage Site, offer something special.
