For the Curious & the Wild-Hearted

Come on in. I’m Jessica.

A California transplant with a heart that’s never stayed in one place for long, I spend my weekdays designing beautiful spaces at a Los Angeles design firm and my free time chasing beautiful moments around the world.

It took years — and a few countries — to build a life that feeds both my curiosity and my soul. My Bibimbap Life is where those pieces come together through intentional travel, cultural discovery, thoughtful design and the everyday rituals that make a life well lived.

Named after Korea’s beloved bibimbap, this blog is inspired by the idea that the richest lives, like the best bowls, are made from many ingredients. My years living in South Korea changed me forever and that spirit of curiosity continues to shape how I experience the world.

Whether I’m wandering into a quiet neighborhood cafe, exploring a new country or finding beauty in ordinary moments, I hope to inspire you to travel with intention, stay curious and always keep a wild heart.

The journey that changed everything.

Teaching English in South Korea wasn’t just a move across the world — it was the first time I truly stepped outside the life I thought I was supposed to live.

Korea challenged me in every possible way. It stretched my confidence, introduced me to lifelong friendships and, unexpectedly, led me to fall in love. Somewhere between navigating a new language, embracing unfamiliar traditions and building a life from scratch, I realized I was becoming someone entirely different.

When I returned home after my first year, my younger brother challenged me to do something even bolder: travel completely on my own. A few weeks later, I booked a one-way ticket to Lisbon and another home from Athens.

That trip taught me that the best journeys aren’t about checking countries off a list. They’re about discovering who you become along the way. I’ve been chasing that feeling ever since.
