MOROCCO

A jewel where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean, Morocco greets visitors with warm hospitality and a lively sense of community.

Its rich tapestry—woven from Berber, Arab and European threads—shows up everywhere, from fragrant kitchens to ornate buildings and centuries-old customs.

Marrakesh’s medina, a delightful maze, hums with energy around Djemaa el-Fna and in marketplaces overflowing with textiles, spices, ceramics, jewelry and glowing metal lanterns.

Yet for me the true treasure is Fes: Fes el-Bali’s walled medina, with its Marinid-era architecture, bustling souks and unmistakable old-world charm, feels like stepping into another time.
