Travel Guide
Morocco
A North African country bordering the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea, Morocco is known for its warm hospitality and strong sense of community. The country is celebrated for its Berber, Arabian and European cultural influences that filter down into Moroccoโs food, architecture and religious beliefs. Marrakeshโs medina, a maze-like medieval quarter, offers excitement in its Djemaa el-Fna square and marketplaces selling textiles, spices, ceramics, jewelry and metal lanterns. But for me, the real gem was Fes, where Fes el Baliโs walled medina overflows with medieval Marinid architecture, vibrant souks and old-world charm.
